+ How long is the steel bar that goes across the door?
The standard length is 44". Generally, we like to see 4" of bar on both sides of the door so the standard size fits perfect on most 36" doors. Different lengths can be ordered for a small fee. Please contact Mike Nydam at 408-515-5878 for more information.
+ How do I install the EZ-Install Clp?
First of all, the ez-install clip is an option. You can purchase them as an option with the HPL-1. It is mounted across from the door handle and provides a simple alignment bracket to hold the CinchLock while you tighten the claw on the door handle.
+ Does the Cinchlock CL work on outward opening doors that are on the outside of buildings?
Typically weather stripping mounted on the bottom of outer doors is designed to keep water and moisture out of the building. It also interferes with the Cinchlock CL sliding easily under these outer doors. If this is the case at your location, the HPL-1 provides an excellent alternative.
+ What's the main difference between the HPL-1 and HPL-2?
The HPL-1 has only one adjustable clamp for securing a door handle or panic bar. The HPL-2 uses the same steel bar but has 2 adjustable clamps for securing a set of double doors such as those typically found in gymnasiums.
+ Where are Cinchlock products manufactured?
Cinchlocks are manufactured in Morgan Hill, California by Club Volleyball Gear.
